Glass terrace canopy in a private house

Client Tasks:

Create an elegant glass canopy for the terrace with a minimum number of seams, which harmoniously integrates into the architecture of the house. The main requirements are transparency, strength, aesthetics and reliable protection against precipitation.

Our solution:

The design of tinted hardened triplex on a metal frame is proposed. Particular attention was paid to the selection of large-format glass to minimize the number of joints and ensure visual ease. For the frame, an individual metal structure was developed, painted in a color consistent with the color of the window structures of the house.

How the project went:

1. Preparation: Carrying out measurements on the object, demonstrating glass samples for color selection. A triplex of the color “graphite” was chosen for a better combination with the facade of the house.
2. Design: Creation of a sketch, preparation of a commercial proposal with the agreement of phased payment and execution of work.
3. Contract: Signing of the contract and engineering measurements with the determination of the exact color of the paint according to the RAL catalog.
4. Production: Development of technical specifications, procurement of materials, manufacture of metal structures, painting and preparation of fasteners.
5. Installation: Installation of a metal frame with fixing the structure and accurate measurement under glass sheets.
6. Glazing: Installation of large-format glass, minimization of seams to one longitudinal joint, fixation of canvases with metal strips, sealing of seams.
7. Finish: Cleaning the structure and glass before handing over the work to the client.
