In the modern world, architecture is increasingly being transformed into art. Sometimes it goes even further — it becomes a part of it. One striking example of this intersection was the legendary glass structure — Apple Cube på Fifth Avenue i New York.
The glass that holds the sky
This cube is more than just the entrance to the store. It is the embodiment of engineering boldness and creativity. Imagine a design with almost no metal, where it is glass that acts as load-bearing elements. Columns with a height of 10 meters, a lattice of glass beams, a glass ceiling - all this is held thanks to the properties of the material, which until recently was difficult to imagine in such a role.
Engineers created not just an object — they realized the idea: minimalism, lightness and at the same time incredible strength. Flat glass beams perfectly withstand wind loads, which is especially important for large-scale construction in a metropolis.

Why did this become possible?
At the time of construction, in 2005—2006, the manufacturing technology of large glass panels was limited. The conceived six-meter elements could not be created by traditional methods. But this was not an obstacle — on the contrary, an impetus for innovation.
In cooperation with companies Seeleand BGT(Germany) developed a technology for manufacturing giant laminated glass panels — triplex. The glass was glued together with a special polymeric substance and additionally connected with bolts for maximum strength. Interestingly, for the lamination of such large parts, it was necessary to use the experience of aircraft engineering — precisely the technologies used in the manufacture of aircraft wings.
The result is more than architecture

A glass cube does not just attract attention. It creates a wow effect that becomes part of the brand image. Laconic, elegant, it symbolizes Apple's innovation and ambition. And today the cube is not only an architectural landmark, but also a point of attraction for thousands of people every day.
In the world of glass constructions, there are no limits to creativity and technology — it all depends on who takes up the implementation. We also believe that architecture should inspire and amaze — and are ready to create solutions that leave a mark.
