The client asked to equip a transparent roof over the kitchen - to make the space lighter, while maintaining all the requirements for safety and reliability. A particular challenge was the geometry of the existing roof, into which it was necessary to integrate large glass panels without disturbing the architectural idea of the house.
Our solution:
We offered an individual design of special durable glass in combination with metal supports. This approach allowed to ensure tightness, resistance to wind and snow loads and at the same time maintain a feeling of lightness and spaciousness. The result is a roof that “disappears” in the interior, letting in maximum daylight.
How the project went
Analysis of the object: The customer provided digital measurements with high accuracy — we processed them to see the real geometry of the roof.
Design: On the basis of measurements, all structural elements were selected that met both the architectural idea and technical requirements.
Conciliation: The project went through several rounds of approval — we promptly made adjustments according to the customer's comments.
Preparation for production: Created accurate drawings for the manufacture of glass and metal parts.
Installation documentation: Prepared a complete package of technical documentation, which made it possible to mount the structure without delays and alterations.
What the client received:
A kitchen filled with natural light — without the need for additional lighting during the day.
A roof that looks like part of the house, not an alien element.
Full tightness even with a complex shape of the structure.
The ability to realize the design vision without technical compromises.
