Client Tasks:
Ensure aesthetic and safe glass terrace fencing residential complex, which will become an architectural continuation of the facade, without overloading it structurally. The project required high accuracy and non-standard approach — the terrace was small complex geometry of the parapetand unevenness of marks, which made it impossible to install the racks as standard.
Our solution:
We have proposed glass construction on stainless steel racks with point mounting that provides lightness and transparency, while meeting the requirements of strength and durability.
After Geodetic survey of the parapet, performed by a specialist in geodesy, it was found that the parapet does not correspond to the design marks — it had distortions, due to which the standard installation of the posts would lead to the curvature of the fence.
We offered the customer two solutions:
The customer chose the second option, and for each of the more than 400 rackswere manufactured and mounted customized metal supports. Each such element aligned the geometry in the exact mounting mark, providing a perfect glass line around the perimeter.
How the project went:
1. Geodetic survey. The first stage was Geodetic survey of parapet, during which the specialist tied the existing points to the project coordinates of the architect. This stage became the basis for all further work.
2. Alignment and preparation of the foundation. After detecting the irregularities of the parapet, we developed a system supporting metal tables, which were made individually for each rack. Production lasted a few months — everything was manufactured more than 400 supporting elements.
3. Manufacturing of structures. Simultaneously run Production of racks— every rack was designed by individual conductor, which guaranteed accuracy during installation. Before the start of work agreed Exhibitor — demonstration fragment of the fence, which confirmed the technical solutions.

4th. Installation. Installation took place in the winter, which complicated the process, but allowed to maintain the pace of work. The glass was installed last, after completion of the work of all related contractors on the parapet.
The glass was stored in the warehouse for more than a year, waiting for the moment when the facade would be ready for its installation.
5. Postwar recovery. During the fighting, the object was partially damaged — individual glass panels were damaged by shelling. Some of them had to be replaced: despite attempts to dismantle, most of the glass withstood the impact load, which confirmed the quality of materials and installation.
The client received Engineered accurate, visually lightweight and safe fencing system, which harmoniously emphasizes the architecture of the complex.
Even despite the complicated geometry, winter installation conditions and subsequent damage, the system remained functional and reliable.
Glazing of the terrace of the residential complex “Manhattan”became an example of how to combine architectural aesthetics with engineering precision — from geodesy to the last bolt.
